Seattle ReCreative

Seattle ReCreative is a non-profit that is a store that sells second-hand art supplies and a community art center. They have two locations in Seattle. The original location is in Greenwood and a second location is in Georgetown. They accept donations of art supplies type products that people no longer want and sell them at their stores. They’re goal is to keep usable things out of landfills and to promote creativity.

What they are accepting can change depending on what they currently have and demand for products. Currently they require an appointment to donate items. Look at their list of items they’re accepting and if you have items you want to donate that are in the list contact them directly.

Items they generally accept include:

  • Knitting and crochet supplies
  • Embroidery, cross stitch, needlepoint,crewel supplies
  • Jewelry and beading supplies
  • Painting supplies
  • Cameras
  • Drawing supplies
  • Scrapbooking and stationary supplies
  • Party and gift type supplies
  • Office supplies
  • Building supplies – smaller items
  • Craft supplies
  • Nature items (pine cones, rocks, feathers, preserved flowers etc.)
  • Sewing supplies
