Half Price Books
Half Price Books buys used books, software, music, movies, comics, magazines, games, and electronics. It varies from store to store what they purchase. To sell your items take your items to your local store. You’ll need to also bring your government-issued photo ID (this is a requirement for all stores before purchasing used items). If you have 1-2 bags or boxes you can just take them to the store. If you have a large amount of items you’ll need to schedule an appointment. Take your books to the customer service/buy back section of the store. They’ll review your books and let you know what they’re interested in purchasing and for what price. They tend to make an offer for everything you bring in (most smaller book stores tend to make an offer on select books). Often they don’t pay a lot for individual items. It’s common they’ll offer around $5 for a bag or box of books which is about $.25 cents per book. It will vary, though, depending on what you are selling. If you accept their offer they’ll pay you cash at that time.

- Movies including DVDs and Blu-Rays.
- Music including vinyl LPs, 45 records, and CDs.
- Collectibles such as books, posters, vintage toys, sports memorabilia.
- Games include board games, video games, and puzzles.
- Electronics include video game consoles, turntables, tablets, smartphones, e-readers, and handheld music devices.
